Stretches

Stretches that are useful for one person may not be for another because SPD has a variable impact on everyone.
When pregnant, it is advisable to consult a doctor about which stretches are safe.
The pelvic tilt is one stretch that might be helpful for alleviating pain. Following these steps will enable people to undertake this exercise:
- Lay on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the ground.
- For the back to flatten and the pelvis to tilt, contract the gluteal muscles and pull your stomach in.
- Hold the pose for 5–10 seconds before relaxing.
If the exercise helps alleviate pain, you can perform 10–20 repetitions.
