What Are the Causes of Tingling in the Hands and Feet?

Tingling in hands and feet can occur due to various factors. Studies show that one of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy is diabetes, because it accounts for more than 30% of cases. Diabetic neuropathy is a condition that is usually accompanied by tingling and other symptoms in the legs and arms. Studies also show that about 2/3rd of people with diabetes develop mild to severe types of nerve damage. These symptoms are usually the first signs of diabetes. The cause of peripheral neuropathy in 30% of cases is unknown.
