Common Symptoms of Vertigo

Dizziness, Sweating or Lightheadedness

Dizziness is an altered sense of balance and place, often described as feeling faint or feeling as if the head is spinning. It affects the sensory organs, particularly the ears and the eyes.

Heavy sweating might also be a sign of vertigo. When the crystals in the inner ear become dislodged, it causes sweating profusely.

You should steer clear of alcohol if you are suffering from alcoholism. One of the side effects of alcohol is lightheadedness, but beyond this alcohol-induced dizziness, it changes the composition of fluid in the inner ear. Alcohol also caused dehydration which can induce vertigo. For an alcoholic, reducing or stopping alcohol consumption can make a significant change.
