Concussion Signs and Symptoms

Ringing In the Ear

The medical term for ringing in the ear is Tinnitus [3]. After a head injury, frequent ringing or buzzing in the ears can be a sign of concussion. The symptoms of mild traumatic brain injury that include Tinnitus may not only happen as a direct consequence of the head injury, and it could also be a side effect of the usual drugs taken to treat the head injury, either the emotional, cognitive, and pain problems associated with the concussion. When you experience a concussion, signals are not sent or interpreted correctly, prompting other systems to take over. This is what is usually the cause of ringing in the ear.
