Loss of Consciousness

Temporary loss of consciousness is a more intense sign of concussion. After an injury to the head, some people may lose consciousness for a short time. However, it is not very common and depends on the severity of the damage. There is a popular belief that a concussion must involve one passing out; this belief is wrong. Passing out is only a more severe concussion case that would entail being treated with first aid immediately then taken to the hospital afterward.
