Tonic Seizures

A tonic seizure usually occurs when you are sleeping, causing your muscle to stiffen for 10 to 20 seconds. However, if they occur when you are awake, you will lose consciousness and may fall over. After the seizure, you will feel fatigued and confused.
Clonic seizures
Although a clonic seizure is rare, it will involve your muscles jerking. Since you are most likely unconscious you won’t know what is happening. Although if you stay conscious you might feel tingling or numbness.
Myoclonic seizures
Myoclonic seizures [4] feel like an electric shock. It will cause jerking or twitching, which will only last less than an hour. The seizure may occur multiple times within a short period and you stay conscious during it.
Absence seizures
Absence seizure [5], formally referred to as petit mal seizures, causes loss of awareness for at most 30 seconds. It could occur up to 100 times in 24 hours. You won’t feel confused after the seizure.
Atonic seizure
The atonic seizure [6] also referred to as akinetic seizure or drop attack is a type that causes a sudden loss of muscle strength. You may or may not stay conscious during this seizure. After the seizure, you would feel your muscle relax and may fall afterwards.
