Signs and Symptoms of Bone Cancer

Bone Pain

If you feel pain in your bones, it may be a sign you have bone cancer [2]. The chance that your bone pain is actually caused by bone cancer is very little. This is because bone cancers are rare. You should speak to a physician first to get some clarity about the cause of your bone pain.

For most people with bone cancer, bone pain is the most common symptom. It usually starts as a tenderness in the bones or sensitivity to touch. Common sites include the long bones of the arms and legs, although it may affect any bone. As the condition progresses, the pain may become more persistent or come-and-go, causing discomfort at night or even during rest and inactivity.

It is easy to mistake this pain for more common conditions like osteoporosis or arthritis if you are old. This is why getting a diagnosis is critical.
