Wrist extension stretch

You do not need any equipment for the wrist extensor stretch [6]. Perform this stretch throughout the day, especially before activity. Do wrist extensor stretches as a warm-up to other exercises or activities that require gripping objects. Follow these steps:

  • Extend your arm forward with your palm facing forward like you are making a “stop” sign.
  • Use your other hand to gently pull your palm towards your body until you feel your forearm stretch.
  • Hold this pose for up to 15 seconds before letting go of your palm.
  • Repeat this exercise up to five times on both hands.

Do five reps of this exercise up to four times a day throughout the week.
