Diarrhea [6] with increased stooling urgency is a classic sign of colitis. If your illness is serious, the impulse to empty your colon may come quickly and furiously. You might sometimes be able to anticipate when this is going to happen. Most of the time, the need to go to the toilet comes right after eating. . Certain types of food, such as spicy dishes or high-fiber food, may make it worse. Other times, this urge to defecate may be so unexpected and unpredictable. It is not unlikely for you to even wake up in the middle of the night due to an urge to use the toilet. It may prove difficult to urge this urge till one gets to the restroom at times. Other times, you may feel like using the toilet again right after using it because you feel like your colon is not yet empty.
