Incorporate exercise into their daily activity

Exercising helps lower the time rate at which food passes through the large intestine. Exercise helps in alleviating simple constipation that is general in children. This aerobic exercise help speeds up the breathing and heart rate of the child. It increases blood flow to the organs, bringing more blood to the gastrointestinal tract resulting in a more muscular intestinal contraction [3] and more digestive enzymes, which then stimulates the natural contractions of muscles in the large intestine, making it easier for the stools to pass out quickly. A simple exercise recommended for the child is a brisk 10 – 20 minutes’ walk, and this should be done preferably after dinner and before bedtime.
