Making sure they visit the toilet regularly

Since the colon [4] works in such a way as to take water out of the stool, the longer the stool stays in the colon, the harder it gets for the child to pass it out. So have them stay for a while in the toilet after a meal as this is when the body would want to pass out stool. A time interval of 10 – 15 minutes should be pretty okay for children. While the child is in the toilet, make the process comfortable for the child to ease the process, ensure that the child’s feet are touching the ground or is on a leveled surface.
