10 Symptoms of Diverticulitis

Diarrhea

Diarrhea is a common symptom of several medical conditions. It causes loose and watery stools. In most cases, diarrhea lasts for a few days and disappears without the use of medication. There are two stages of diarrhea, which include acute and chronic.

If diarrhea lasts for one to two days, it’s called acute diarrhea. Apart from diarrhea due to diverticulitis, individuals can have the condition due to a bacterial or viral infection and, in some scenarios, food poisoning.

A condition called traveler’s diarrhea happens when a person has the condition after exposure to bacteria or parasites while on a break in a particular developing region. Chronic diarrhea lasts for more than four weeks. When it’s chronic, then there’s a probability of the individual having intestinal diseases like Crohn’s disease or celiac disease.
