Pain in the ear
Ear Infections cause pain in the ears in both adults and children. This pain often presents as a throbbing pain that is worsened when patients lie down. It can also be increased when patients eat. For some reason, ear pain often occurs at night time probably due to lying down on the bed at this time. This pain consequently leads to difficulty in sleeping or falling asleep.
In children less than one year that cannot talk, they often cry incessantly due to this pain. Infants can also be seen tugging or pulling at the affected ear. This often shows an experienced physician the cause of the problem.
