Atopic Dermatitis(Eczema) Symptoms

Denier-Morgan Fold (Longitudinal Fold of the Lower Eyelid)

Tiny creases that develop along your lower eyelids are Dennie-Morgan (DM) lines. This may cause the appearance of double folds of the skin under your eyes. These lines are also called Dennie-Morgan folds and are not related to the normal aging process as in the case of wrinkles.

Other important and additional symptoms of Eczema include:

  • Darkening of the skin of the eye sockets
  • Persistent white dermographism
  • Lichen planus, hair loss
  • Follicular keratosis
  • Folds on the front of the neck
  • Pallor of the face
  • Low hairline
  • Delayed reaction to acetylcholine
  • Linear grooves at the fingertips
  • Keratoconus or cataract [11]

Atopic dermatitis is a long-term ailment. It usually appears before the age of five and can reach adulthood. Sometimes it is necessary to apply various treatments over years and there is never the certainty of knowing that it will not appear again. The most convenient thing is to have the skin hydrated because it reduces the symptoms. There are also different recommended treatments that will be determined by your doctor. If you notice symptoms of Eczema developing, visit your physician as soon as you can.
