Surgery
Surgery may be one of the last lines of treatment. An orthopedic surgeon may under a procedure to cut off some of the inflamed ligament and ease some form of tissue tightness.
The surgeon may undergo a procedure called the gastrocnemius recession [4]. This surgery involves stretching the calf muscles to cause a relief in the strain between the calf and the fascia ligament.
Please note that surgery is usually an option for people who experience severe pain after trying other treatment procedures. It’s crucial to note that undergoing surgery can cause the weakening of the arch in the foot.
