Smoke-Free Alternatives

Studies show that smoking or secondhand smoke can cause tension headaches. According to the National Headache Institute, smoking is one of the leading causes of tension headaches in the United State. If you are traveling to places where smoking is allowed in public places, such as bars, restaurants, offices, and bars, it would help to take precautions to protect yourself from the chemicals in cigarettes. You can ask for nonsmoking rooms, seating accommodations on trains, and rental cars. You can also look for restaurants that don’t allow smoking, or choose a table in an outdoor location where smoke is not concentrated.
