Allergy Headaches

It is common for this headache to be misdiagnosed as migraine [16]. Allergy headache is also known as sinus headache. It is sharp pain in your head that results from allergies. You feel the pain around the sinus area of your head. This area of your head is experiencing inflammation as a result of infection or an allergy [17]. The inflammation is called sinusitis, it can persist for 2-3 weeks. This is why it is easy for allergy headaches to be misdiagnosed as migraines. Common symptoms that trail this headache includes; blocked nose, nausea, pain around the teeth and jaws, light and sound sensitivity, thick yellowish or green nasal discharge amongst others. Antibiotics, OTC painkillers, and nasal decongestants, antihistamines, or Diagnosis with an ENT doctor [18] are how this head can be treated.
