Follow A Heart-healthy Diet

The National Institute of Health recommends the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) [8] as an option to help improve the heart’s health.
The DASH diet places an emphasis on:
- consuming entire grains, fruits, and vegetables
- consuming dairy products with minimal or no fat
- consuming fish, poultry, legumes, nuts, and vegetable oils
- reducing the consumption of meals high in added sugars and saturated fats
