High Blood Pressure Symptoms

Nosebleeds

A nosebleed is blood discharge from the nostrils, either spontaneous or induced by nose picking or trauma. If your nose is scratched or picked, it can bleed. Allergies, colds, or sinus problems can also dry out the nasal membranes and cause nosebleeds. Frequent nose blowing is another cause of nosebleeds.

During an HBP crisis, a medical emergency is needed when blood pressure is 180/120 mm Hg or higher. This pressure level can cause the blood vessels in the nose to be more susceptible to damage which causes nosebleeds.
