Joint Pain
Pain in your hip can affect the muscles or the tendons along the hip bone. Sometimes this pain is specific to your hip joints. Joint pain, or arthralgia, is often caused by injury or to the ligaments, tendons, cartilage, or bones within a joint.
Your joints may ache particularly badly when you have hip pain. If you aren’t aware of what triggered the pain, you should see a doctor. Many underlying conditions [5] can cause joint pain in your hip. These can range from arthritis to sexually transmitted diseases like chlamydia. Seek medical advice if your joint pain does not resolve on its own.
