Constipation

Urine frequency can occasionally be caused by constipation. You can be constipated if you have less than three bowel motions per week. This may result in a swollen rectum that presses against the bladder. The urge to urinate increases due to the larger rectum’s reduced capacity to hold urine.
Many factors can lead to constipation. Among them are:
- diet (such as deficient in water or fiber)
- Lack of exercise
- Medication (such as antihistamines or opioids)
- Medical conditions (such as hypothyroidism)
- Being pregnant
The cause of constipation is what determines the treatment approach. Your healthcare provider may help you figure out why you aren’t having many bowel movements. You may have to increase your water and fiber intake and some medications may be prescribed.
