Nausea and Vomiting

The human body responds to pain in different ways. One of them is by withdrawal reflexes organized by the nervous and skeletal systems. When you feel like vomiting, often it is due to irritation to the gastrointestinal tract. Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms in many disease conditions, including kidney stones. The reason for this may be the connection between nerves to the kidney and those to the gastrointestinal tract. Kidney stone pain signals may interfere with the nervous function in the gastrointestinal tract leading to nausea or vomiting. This can also be a result of the body’s reaction to pain.
