Signs and Symptoms Of Kidney Failure

Urine Colouration

The urine of a healthy person is either colourless or a pale yellow like straw to a deeper shade of yellow or deep gold. When the urine changes from these regular colors, it is a sign that something is malfunctioning in the body. Abnormal colors could mean different things and stand for different diseases. However, a pink, red, purple or lighter brown urine could be a symptom of kidney failure.

Sometimes, the change in color can actually be the presence of blood in the urine. When the kidney fails, then the kidney filters get damaged. This causes blood cells to leak into the urine. It is important to notice carefully, if there’s a change in color or blood in the urine. So, from time to time, check out the color of your urine to make sure there is nothing abnormal about it. The moment, you notice a change in colour, visit the hospital for a check-up.
