Symptoms of Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia

The symptoms of CMML may not show immediately. This is because the disease develops slowly over time. However, there is still a chance of discovering it early. Your doctor can detect CMML when a routine blood test finds increased levels of monocytes or total WBCs.
You begin to experience certain symptoms of CMML when high levels of monocytes and blasts crowd out your healthy blood cells. Some of the more common symptoms associated with CMML include:
- Shortness of breath
- Anemia [3]
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Easy bruising or bleeding
- Night sweats
- Frequent infection
- Weight loss
- Lack of appetite
- Abdominal discomfort caused by enlarged spleen or liver
These are symptoms that could mean that you have CMML. You should immediately go see your doctor if you notice any of these symptoms.
