Butter

Like the majority of animal products and byproducts, dairy can make liver problems worse. Sadly, butter is part of this.

Butter is both dairy and highly saturated fat, thus it falls within both categories. Olive oil, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and has been shown to lower liver enzyme levels, can be used in place of butter while cooking. Olive oil has additional benefits for managing and losing weight.

Ice cream

Actually, if you want to protect your liver, stay away from sugar-heavy desserts. The majority of ice cream, however, contains 92% DV in each 1/2 cup. If you have liver issues, you simply cannot consume that much saturated fat. Aside from whipped cream, other goodies to stay away from include cake icing and, of course, any dessert that includes it.
