Emphasis on Envy
Jealousy or envy is another common trait of narcissism. Although it is normal to feel jealous about certain things, narcissists usually feel overwhelmed by these feelings. If you find yourself talking about other people’s property in a negative manner, you may be a narcissist. You may also have a strong belief that other people are always envious of you. In some cases, narcissists use this feeling to get close to wealthy or popular people.
Narcissists feel envious of their colleagues and may constantly try to downplay their efforts. Narcissists may play a little role in completing a project but still want all the credit. They always feel entitled. They envy other people’s skills and downplay the efforts of their coworkers.
