Provide feedback and support

Feedbacks and constant support are important for people with dyscalculia. Students with this disorder may find math lessons overwhelming and may need teachers to help guide them through math problems. Creating a balance of communication will help students learn better. Teachers should encourage their students and communicate effectively with them about math problems. You can also check up with students regularly during or after a class to know if they are understanding a lecture. Check students’ homework and give them feedback in a constructive manner. Do not embarrass them in the public or single them out. To effectively manage dyscalculia, you must understand that teacher-student communication is highly important. It is not to punish them, it is to build them.
