Persistent depression
Persistent depressive disorder is a type of depression that goes on for about 2 years or more. It is also known as chronic depression or dysthymia [3]. Some symptoms include:
- Constant sadness and deep hopelessness
- Withdrawal from social activities
- Changes in appetite
- Low self-esteem or feeling inadequate
- Memory and concentration problems
- Inability to be happy or excited no matter the occasion.
- Changes in sleep patterns.
- Lack of interest in activities you used to enjoy.
