Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly

When a person feels anxious or depressed, there’s usually the need to take comforting foods such as pasta, pastries and sweets to reduce some of the tension. However, these foods do not provide enough nutrients. Therefore, try to eat something healthy everyday, to nourish your body. Examples of healthy foods are fruits, lean meats, whole grains and vegetables. Also try to stay hydrated by taking enough water and fluids.
Some research [6] shows that regular exercise can be an effective treatment for anxiety and depression because exercising releases hormones that help you feel good and boosts your mood naturally. However, going to the gym or having to exercise in a public space, may trigger fear and anxiety in some persons. In that case, taking a walk or following online workout routines at home, would do the job for you.
