Symptoms of schizophrenia

Several symptoms indicate that you might have, they include:

  • Hallucination: This is when one starts to hear, see, or feel things that aren’t there
  • Delusions: This is when one insists on false beliefs or suspicions not shared by others, even when there is contradictory evidence
  • Negative symptoms: such as being emotionally flat, no relationships, dull speak voice, or apathy
  • Cognitive issues or disorganized thinking: Struggle to complete the task, lack of insight
  • Abnormal behavior: laughing to self, self-neglect, unkept appearance, wandering aimlessly

However, people who have schizophrenia described as disorganized don’t experience hallucinations and delusions as symptoms, they usually have other symptoms in addition to negative symptoms and disorganized thinking.
