Conclusion

Women who are experiencing menopause and are at perimenopausal stages are mostly affected by hot flashes. [5] These hot flashes are usually triggered by the sudden hormonal imbalance or change experienced by menopausal and perimenopausal women as their body’s way of dealing with it. Although hot flashes are not curable, they may be controlled by using hormonal therapy and other alternative treatments available as prescribed by a physician.
Experiencing a hot flash is not a medical problem and is no cause for alarm. However, if the flashes occur too frequently and for a longer period, it is advisable to contact your doctor as it may be a symptom of an underlying illness or disease.
