Post-Traumatic Growth – How to Begin

PTG and the pandemic

Although post-traumatic growth is not a new concept, experts believe that there will be an all-time increase in the number of people experiencing this growth as we exit the pandemic.

According to a study released in the journal of Psychiatry, it was discovered that about 88 percent of the survey’s 385 participants experienced positive growth after experiencing trauma during the pandemic. The most common traumatic experiences during the pandemic were health issues, loss of income, and homeschooling. The study showed that a large percentage of people were able to create something positive from these experiences.

In addition, the study recorders positive improvements in relationships with friends and family and more intense gratitude for life. Some people experienced spiritual growth and better mental health [1] during the pandemic.
