Schizophrenia Symptoms and Warning Signs

Hallucinations

They are illusions in which the individual hears, sees, or experiences things that originate from their own brain even though they are not true, believes them as though they were real. These stimuli are perceived by the sensory organs such as the Auditory. When the person hears a voice that talks to them inside their brain. These are the most common hallucinations and features of schizophrenia and, more importantly, when the individual complains that he or she may not think or behave freely. Often these voices ridicule them and give them instructions, and sometimes these voices determine the actions they take.

Sometimes can be tactile or kinesthetic: the person has abnormal sensations in the body without being touched. “When I eat at the neighbor’s house I notice cramps, pricks, and tingling on my body.” Other sensations are olfactory, taste, and visual.
