Dig into Clay

Clay plays a significant role in helping children with dysgraphia. It is dense and responsive. You can easily erase mistakes with just a pinch.
Ask your child to roll clay into ropes and practice creating letters with your child. This helps build hand strength and boost fine motor skills. It also helps the child get used to the shapes of letters.
You can also try smoothing a layer of clay on a cookie sheet, then inviting your child to write letters into the surface with a pencil. The clay offers sensory feedback, which gives the child more information to the brain on how the letters are created.
