Pericardial Mesothelioma and Testicular Mesothelioma Symptoms

Pericardial mesothelioma affects the pericardium (lining of the heart). It is less common and very aggressive. Like pleural mesothelioma, the symptoms present in the chest [9]. They include: chest pain, pericardial effusion, heart palpitations, heart murmurs, arrhythmia, fever and night sweats.

Testicular mesothelioma is present in the lining of the testes (tunica vaginalis). Cases are extremely rare and are often misdiagnosed as inguinal hernias. The symptoms [10] include: testicular pain, fluid buildup, swelling around the scrotum, scrotal lump, and inflammation of the epididymis.

Mesothelioma is a very aggressive type of cancer that develops due to asbestos exposure. Symptoms take very long to appear and are often mistaken for other conditions. If you suspect you have mesothelioma, you should see a doctor immediately. There is no certain cure but treatments can help.
