The Types of Auras You May Experience During a Migraine

Prodrome

Prodrome [3] is another name for the premonitory period. A few hours or possibly several days may pass before it ends. The majority of migraine sufferers will experience prodrome, though perhaps not with each attack. The headache may be avoided during prodrome by taking any drugs, avoiding recognized triggers, and trying relaxation techniques.

Because every individual is unique, typical prodrome signs can include:

  • fatigue
  • mood swings
  • hunger
  • Continuous yawning
  • irritation
  • painful neck
  • constipation [4]
