Symptoms of Bruxism

Teeth grinding comes with different signs. Most times these symptoms are related to other disease. So, it is very important for medical doctors to identify the signs properly before administering treatment. Symptoms of teeth grinding include:
Facial Pain and Headaches
Patients experience pains in their face due to unconscious neuromuscular activities in the jaws and mouth. Patients are advised to report to a medical doctor once they notice any signs of pains in the face.
Headache could be symptom to several medical conditions. They last between 40 minutes and several hours. Headache cannot be used solely as a sign that a patient has bruxism, it has to be accompanied by other symptoms. However, patients can practice certain habits to reduce the pains form headache, these habits include; drinking plenty fluid (water), adequate relaxation (stress is a major cause of teeth grinding) and use drugs such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
