Home Remedies for Abscess Tooth

Fenugreek Tea

As a medicine herb, fenugreek [5] has a long history of treating some ailments. It contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and many other health benefits, such as helping digestion, aiding certain heart problems, fighting against inflammation and promoting weight loss and so on. And fenugreek has been proved effective in treating tooth infections like an abscess.

It’s simple to make fenugreek tea – crush the seeds, add the crushed seeds into the boiled water, steep about 3 minutes. You can add honey or stevia and choose hot or cold temperature, which all depend your taste. You can apply the tea on the infected spot with a cotton ball up to three times per day.

However, one thing that you should notice is that excess consumption of fenugreek tea may have some side effects personally, including allergies and low blood sugar; especially for the pregnancy it should be avoided to keep safe. And if you are under some medication, you should consult your doctor before you drink it.
