Home Remedies for Abscess Tooth

Clove Oil

Cloves has a long history of being used to relief toothache, because cloves contain a chemical that numbs the skin it touches temporarily.

Clove oil is extracted and concentrated from cloves and contains anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties [8] that help reduce symptoms of abscess tooth. It has a chemical compound called eugenol, which helps to kill the bacteria, causing pain and prevent the infection from worsening. Some studies have found that eugenol has significant effects on relieving inflammation, infection and pain compared with another type of analgestic.

However, there are also some side effects, including diarrhea, breathing difficulties, upset stomach, nose or throat burning.

You can apply the oil on the infected tooth with a cotton ball, or mix with little water and swish around the mouth to flush out toxins. Leave for several minutes for significant results. Infants and children should be careful to use clove oil. It’s usually not pleasant to taste clove oil, and do not swallowing any of it!
