What Is The Difference between Gingivitis and Periodontitis?

This condition occurs in phases. The earlier the stage is, the less severe the symptoms are. The following are manifestation of periodontitis:

  • Sensitive teeth
  • Bad breath
  • Loose teeth
  • Sore gums
  • Red, swollen gums
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Discomfort during chewing
  • Gums that recede (pull back) from the teeth
  • Movement of teeth away from position
  • Bleeding gums

Gum pockets are formed when gums move away from a tooth. In some cases, these spaces get infected and lead to severe gum conditions.
