Temperature Sensitivity in Multiple Sclerosis – Causes, Symptoms, and Precautions

Unplug your devices

Electric devices such as gadgets or kitchen electronics create heat even when not in use. Ensure to unplug them when not in use.

Eat light

In an attempt to cook certain heavy meals, you could quickly heat up the house and your body. Reduce how often you cook and opt for more fruits and salad.

Stay hydrated

Drinking plenty of water helps prevent heat-related symptoms such as fog and fatigue. To know if you are drinking enough, do a urine test. If your urine is a clear or pale yellow, you are drinking enough. If it is extremely yellow, you need more water.

Try ice and spice

Ice drinks can also help stay cold. Ensure they are non-alcoholic drinks as they could do the opposite. Ice chips and ice pops are also recommended. Extra spicy food also helps stay cool.
