Parkinson’s Disease – 5 Stages, Alternative Rating System and How to Cope with

Stage 1

At stage 1 you are still experiencing only the mildest form Parkinson’s. There may be symptoms, but they’re not severe enough to interfere with daily tasks and overall lifestyle. In fact, the symptoms are so minimal at this stage that they’re often missed. But people close to you may notice changes in your posture, walk, or facial expressions.

One symptom you may experience at this stage of the disease is that tremors and other difficulties in movement are generally exclusive to one side of the body. Prescribed medication can work effectively to reduce these symptoms.
