Polyps
Small, benign growths called nasal polyps can obstruct the sinus cavities, preventing mucus from draining and ultimately resulting in dry nose. They arise from the tissues of the nose or sinuses. These tiny jewels have the additional ability to obstruct airway pathways, which might result in headaches.
Polyps and long-term swelling and scarring of the nasal passages can be brought on by persistent allergies. Individuals who have nasal polyps frequently have a diminished sense of smell.
Nasal steroid sprays or a brief course of oral steroids are used to treat polyps; if these therapies are ineffective, surgery may be required.
