Osteoporosis Exercises: Stay Active the Safe Way

Ball Sit

The primary purpose of this exercise is to promote balance and strengthen the abdominal muscles. Please note that the activity should be done with a giant exercise ball typically found in most gymnasiums. Besides, an individual called a spotter should be present as well. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Start by sitting on the exercise ball with the feet flat on the ground.
  2. Ensure that the back is completely straight when maintaining balance.
  3. Hold arms out with the palms facing forward, if possible.
  4. Remain in the position for as long as one minute. Ensure that you take some time to rest and repeat the exercise
