Shock

Lack of blood flow to tissues and organs of the body deprives the body of oxygen and essential nutrients needed by the body to function correctly, leading to shock.

Shock could be a physiological or psychological symptom.  Events occur in an individual life that creates a traumatic experience for such individual, causing psychological shock. An emotional response characterizes this kind of shock. In physiological shock, the body fails to perform its normal functions due to a lack of blood flow to organs and tissues of the body.

Shock is, therefore, a fatal symptom of Septicemia. When released into the bloodstream by bacteria organisms, toxins cause a significant reduction in blood pressure and blood flow. Organs in the body need oxygen and essential minerals in the blood for nutrition, so when they are blood deprived, they begin to malfunction and eventually get damaged. Lack of essentials minerals in the blood would lead to septic shock. In cases of septic shock, medical urgency is required.

Septicemia is a very severe ailment that should not be nurtured in the body and should be treated as soon as possible. It is a disease that, at its early stages, symptoms of not being straightforward, therefore, making one not know the severity of the disease, which is why it is advised for individuals not to take chances and treat even the slightest fever accordingly.
