When the spleen is enlarged, it is unable to produce enough white blood cells leading to a weak immune system. White blood cells are the body’s soldiers that help fight off infections and defend from harmful agents that try to cause diseases. When blood cell count is low, it leaves the body vulnerable and unable to defend itself from infections. Common infections like cold, flu [5], and other diseases would find it easier to invade your body and infect your systems. When frequent infections begin to occur accompanies with feelings of fullness or fatigue, it may be a symptom of an enlarged spleen. If you are getting in heated frequently you should consult a doctor for the relevant tests to ascertain why.
