Hepatitis B [7] is a condition that affects the liver and is caused by HBV, a virus. Body fluids like semen and vaginal secretions can spread the virus to people through blood. HBsAb or Anti-HBs (hepatitis B surface antibody), HBsAg (hepatitis B surface antigen), and HBcAb or Anti-HBc (hepatitis B core antibody) are the three types of hepatitis B blood tests.

It is important that you take proper care of yourself and your sexual life to avoid getting any of these diseases. The best way to prevent contraction is to abstain from sex. Safer sexual practices and frequent STI testing, however, will help those who continue to participate in sexual activity from contracting STIs.
