3 Common Symptoms of Tendonitis

Pain in the Tendon

The most common symptom associated with tendonitis is pain in the affected area. The pain may not always feel the same in everybody. Tendonitis pain is usually dull and chronic [3]. It often intensifies when you move the affected joint or limb. The affected area may also feel tender and sore to the touch.

Sudden and sharp pain [4] is also associated with tendonitis sometimes, but this is not as common as a dull ache. Sudden sharp pain is more common if calcium deposits are present.

Sometimes pain caused by tendonitis is hard to distinguish from muscle pain and many people confuse both conditions. Observing the location of the pain might help you tell the difference. If this does not work, you can view the inflammation through a scan.
