Symptoms of Tonsillitis
The most common and primary symptoms of tonsillitis are swollen and inflamed tonsils, and it can get seveysuch that it becomes difficult to breathe through your mouth. Other symptoms include:
- Pain in the throat
- Tenderness in the throat

- Red tonsils
- Headache
- Pain in the ear
- Loss of appetite
- Difficulty swallowing
- Swollen glands in your neck or jaw
- Bad breath
- Stiff neck
- A scratchy or muffled voice.
Symptoms in Children
Certain symptoms may also be more specific to children, they include:
- Stomach pain
- Upset stomach
- Vomiting
- Drooling
- Refusing to eat or swallow
