Diagnosis
This health condition can only be diagnosed by a medical doctor or professional. The physical symptoms of an individual and a review of the individual’s previous medical health history helps the doctor determine whether it is breast abscess or an infection. In order to diagnose the health condition properly, there are some basic tests and scans that will be carried out. These tests help the doctor cancel out various other illnesses that have similar symptoms like cancer or cysts. These tests include:
- Ultrasound: This is the use of sound waves with high frequency to take images of organs, tissues and vessels in an individual’s body. This helps to view the conditions in which these organs are and also helps to detect if there is a problem. This is also called sonography scans.
- Biopsy: This is a removal of a sample of cells from an affected area of the body to be tested in the laboratory. This helps the doctor to know if there is a presence of an infection or it is a breast abscesses.
